How the Case Calculator Works
- Step 1: Enter the initial offer you received from the opposing party under “Current Offer”
- Step 2: Enter your “Trial Result” number, which is what you believe a jury may award with an excellent trial attorney
Our calculator will take these numbers and calculate your expected award for accepting the settlement, and what your total award would be should once Voldz Law return a successful trial result. So, although you are giving up a percentage of the legal fee to a trial counsel, you may still collect a higher fee.
How We Handle Referral Fees
Voldz Law follows the standard “third of a third” – assuming you take a third of an award for your fee, we’ll take a third of that. As always, our fees are contingent upon recovery, so if we don’t win, we don’t take a fee, either.
Note that Voldz Law operates in compliance with NY Rule 1.5(g) on fee sharing. We’ll put the agreement in writing for full disclosure to your client, and will name you on the retainer in the interest of transparency.

Trusting another law firm with your clients is a big decision, and we understand that you have questions. We’re happy to answer them at any time, but here’s what we want you to know upfront:
We can and often do handle cases from intake to verdict, so we can be involved in every part of the process if you need that level of help. We are also able to step into a case that’s already in negotiations and take the reins. No matter when we enter into our partnership, know that we’ll be fully transparent with your clients at all times about our involvement.
Voldz Law has the resources, experience, and acumen to take a case to trial, but we also know that’s not always the best option. We won’t pressure your clients to go to trial, though we will be prepared for that outcome at all times, just in case.
We believe the best partnerships are ones that are entered in good faith by both parties. As such, we do want to review and evaluate potential referral cases before we accept one. You deserve a partner who you can trust to give you a measured, realistic response to the case you present, and we want to ensure that we’re able to devote time and resources to your clients. We’re happy to draft a document that explains this review process – to you and to your client.
