A 47-year-old electric scooter rider suffered a tibia-fibula fracture and an ankle fracture requiring ORIF surgery after his scooter’s front wheel was caught by a defect in an intersection. Despite challenges with limited evidence (i.e. no witnesses and no photos of the condition), we secured a $1.5 million settlement two weeks before trial in Supreme Court, Bronx County against the City of New York.
